Summary Profile 

The CAD & PDM Administrator serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for LifeSync's SolidWorks CAD and Product Data Management (PDM) environment. The role is responsible for maintaining engineering design documentation, administering the PDM vault, establishing CAD standards, supporting engineering documentation, training users, and ensuring data integrity across global engineering teams.

Duties & Responsibilities  

  •  Create, modify, and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks in accordance with established engineering standards.
  •  Maintain engineering documentation within the Product Data Management (PDM) system, ensuring accurate revision control and document organization.
  •  Process and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by updating drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and related engineering documentation.
  •  Establish, maintain, and continuously improve CAD, drawing, PDM, and engineering documentation standards, procedures, naming conventions, templates, and best practices. 
  •  Author and maintain procedures, work instructions, engineering standards, templates, and training materials related to CAD, PDM, and engineering documentation processes. 
  •  Support the continued development and expansion of SolidWorks PDM capabilities across LifeSync's global engineering organization. 
  •  Provide technical guidance and training to engineering personnel regarding CAD, PDM, engineering documentation, and configuration management best practices. 
  •  Prepare and maintain engineering documentation required to support product development, sustaining engineering activities, and manufacturing operations.
  •  Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to ensure engineering documentation is complete, accurate, and released on time.
  •  Support the creation, revision, and release of Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, specifications, and other controlled engineering documents.
  •  Assist in maintaining engineering records in compliance with company procedures and applicable quality system requirements.
  •  Provide day-to-day support to engineering users on CAD and PDM-related activities.
  •  Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering documentation and document control processes.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENCIAL Requirements:  

  •  Technical Diploma in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Design, Electromechanics, or a related technical field; or currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred to have completed at least 70% of the degree).
  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting engineering documentation, CAD drafting, or mechanical design activities in a manufacturing environment.
  •  Hands-on experience using SolidWorks to create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  •  Experience working with a Product Data Management (PDM) system or equivalent engineering document management platform.
  •  Experience supporting Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), document revisions, and controlled engineering documentation.
  •  Working knowledge of engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), revision control, and engineering documentation practices.
  •  Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  •  Proficiency in both written and spoken English. Minimum B2.
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

PREFFER QUALIFICATIONS: 

  •  Experience in the Medical Device industry or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  •  Familiarity with FDA, ISO 13485, and Design Control requirements.
  •  Experience supporting Sustaining Engineering or New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
  •  SolidWorks certification (CSWA or CSWP) preferred.
  •  Experience with ERP systems and Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
